1. Which Frequency Do You Need?
Different areas of the country use different TV signals. In some places, you need an antenna that can pick up VHF signals; in others, you need one that can handle UHF signals.
For example, most transmission towers in or close to cities use VHF transmission. You typically get UHF signals in less urban and more rural areas. However, there are no set rules here, so you might need to buy a more adaptable antenna.
Think about the trips you want to take in your caravan and where you might go. If you plan on being in rural areas at any point, then you should factor in UHF areas. If you aren't sure, then a hybrid antenna might be your best bet. These systems work with both VHF and UHF frequencies. You get a better chance of being able to watch TV wherever you go.
